Follow is a Verb

Once we accept Christ into our hearts we become followers of Christ. Follow is defined "to come or go." Follow is a verb. An action word. In order to truly follow God we have to take action. We have to move. We have to do something! That something is what often causes people to stumble. What does God want me to do? The answers are found in the Bible. He gave it to us to read and become closer to Him. How we are supposed to live our lives is in this book. All we must do is dive in. Come out of hibernation and DO SOMETHING.

Today is the day that this revolution begins. Today followers across the state are studying and praying over and memorizing the same scripture. All with the same goal. To drawn closer to the Lord our God. By hiding His word in our hearts we are strengthened against sin. (Psalm 119:11).

What's the one thing that God wants more than anything else?
To be known.
How can we follow Him without knowing who He is and what He wants for our lives?
How can we spread His word if we ourselves do not know it?

To know God we must study the Word He has given us!

Our 2 verses to memorize this week are

Romans 8:6
"For to set themind on flesh is death, but to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace."

2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.

Our extended passage we are memorizing until the end of August is:

2 Corinthians 4

The only thing we must remember and keep close to our hearts about this exciting revolution is GOD. He changes people not us. We are not changing the world, but we are His hands and feet allowing Him to work through us.
