Blind Faith.

Something God has really put on my heart recently is faith. Faith when things are good. Faith when things are mediocre. Faith when things are hard. There is no such thing as a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason, even if you don't understand it. God has really put on my heart that just because something to me seems perfect and will glorify Him, if He doesn't set in my heart that it is to be done then I must let go. No matter how great it is. No matter how badly I want it. If God isn't behind it, it isn't worth obtaining. Even when it doesn't make sense to NOT have it...I have learned that meditating on his Word is the best way to get strength. Faith in God to me is following Him especially when it doesn't make sense. It's commonly referred to as blind faith. I trust in my God to deliver me from evil and that he has great plans for me. Some of the verses I found relating to this are:

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 28:26
He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But he who walks wisely will be delivered.
Psalm 9:9-10
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Isaiah 50:10
Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of her servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.

Follow is a Verb

Once we accept Christ into our hearts we become followers of Christ. Follow is defined "to come or go." Follow is a verb. An action word. In order to truly follow God we have to take action. We have to move. We have to do something! That something is what often causes people to stumble. What does God want me to do? The answers are found in the Bible. He gave it to us to read and become closer to Him. How we are supposed to live our lives is in this book. All we must do is dive in. Come out of hibernation and DO SOMETHING.

Today is the day that this revolution begins. Today followers across the state are studying and praying over and memorizing the same scripture. All with the same goal. To drawn closer to the Lord our God. By hiding His word in our hearts we are strengthened against sin. (Psalm 119:11).

What's the one thing that God wants more than anything else?
To be known.
How can we follow Him without knowing who He is and what He wants for our lives?
How can we spread His word if we ourselves do not know it?

To know God we must study the Word He has given us!

Our 2 verses to memorize this week are

Romans 8:6
"For to set themind on flesh is death, but to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace."

2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.

Our extended passage we are memorizing until the end of August is:

2 Corinthians 4

>
The only thing we must remember and keep close to our hearts about this exciting revolution is GOD. He changes people not us. We are not changing the world, but we are His hands and feet allowing Him to work through us.

Beginning an Adventure

Hello! I am Brooke Allen, TL [Team Leader] for my area in the ETC Revolution. God is going to do amazing things through this ministry and I cannot wait to watch Him work!

What is ETC Revolution?

ETC Revolution is a program started to help people immerse themselves in the Word by memorization and studying in Family Groups. ETC stands for 'Every Thought Captive' which is taken from 2 Corinthians 10:5. We will dedicate ourselves to 2 verses a week and 1 passage a month. In Psalm 119:11 is says if we hide His Word in our hearts that it will strengthen us against sin. So let's do it! Let's build up relationships with one another and help our brothers and sisters in Christ to grow closer to the Lord!

I will be working alongside other TL's through 2 Corinthians 4.

So ignite your fire for Chirst! :)
